  1. I have learnt that if we do not have a competitive advantage, we should not go into that particular industry. We also need contacts so that we can seek help from our contacts who are specialized in a certain industry and problems are considered as opportunities, so we need to seize it.

  3. We have to befriend media, so that we would be known nationally or internationally. We have to be innovative and fast-thinking. We have to look for opportunities – problems are opportunities. Image is also important as it gives first impression to people. Image is important to impress customers.

  4. I learn that when we set up a business, we have to have something unique to stand out from the others in our field. We also have to constantly innovate, and where there is a problem, there is an opportunity for innovation. We would also have to have many publications and project our self well.

  5. I learnt that one needs to be selective and target a market and audience. They also need to be creative and recognize that a problem is an opportunity.

  6. To strive in a business, entrepreneurs have to be different. It can be different perception or different product. With something different to offer, they have a competitive advantage over other competitors.

Entrepreneurs must know their business well. Example if one is exploiting into the food industry, and they have the best chef. But it is not a good opportunity as if the chef leaves, you would have nothing out of your business anymore.

Dressing up well and image is important. It gives people a first impression of you. If you are not confident and present yourself well, you will lose the opportunity.

  7. I have learned that we must have confidence to start a business and we have to venture out new things. Problems is opportunities so we have to seize them. One more thing is that we do not need to compete with each other if there is no competitive advantages. We also need to be partners with media so that people will know more about the company. Images is important to give the audience a first impression.

  8. I learnt that we should be flexible and make use of opportunities to sell new products to the public when they need it the most. For example, when the SARS outbreak was taking place, Mr Fernandez sold air sanitizers to clinics and made lots of money.
I also learnt that media can be your best friend as they attract more people to buy your products and the publicity is also free.
The last thing I learnt is that we have to plan the pictures in our advertisements well as pictures are usually the first thing that people notice and that might mislead people.

  9. I have learnt that in a certain niche area of business you need to be special and stand out from all the other brands or companies we should also be flexible when opportunities come to us and instead of hating when bad things happen we should turn it around and use it to our advantage.

  10. I learnt that the media is a very important edge in business and you can use it to your advantage like a free advertisement. Also it is good to take advantage of situations like the SARS outbreak and take advantage of it and make products to counter the problem to make money from it. It is also important how you advertise your products and always learn from other people or mentors when you encounter a problem in your business.

  11. I learned entrepreneurs can simply change a single thing in a product to suit the needs of customers, and some of their solutions can also be ingenious or they collaborate with others to make a good product. They also give a good first impression.

  12. I have learnt from the talk that every problem is a challenge. If we encounter a challenge,we could use innovation to think of a way to come up with a solution, and that solution will also be able to help other people too and that can make us rich if we sell it.I have also learnt we should also venture into the market of our niche, and that you must have confidence when starting a business.

  13. I learnt that in entrepreneurship, we must always seize the opportunity when we see it. Entrepreneurs dream big and achieve big, by working smart and playing hard. They give good impressions about themselves. They act smart, look smart and are smart and they know their business.

  14. Each entrepreneur would be needing to actually be a good leader at a same time too. But to be a good leader, we would have to be different and unique at the same time too!

Our business have to be a niche like if we are doing our business in regard to the demographics, we would have to have another advantage or something extra that is unique so people would actually want or have to use our business to be important and attract customers.

Before we can even start a particular business, we would need the proper knowledge and training, and that may need a lot of time and dedication to it. It wouldn't make any sense if we want to sell something which we totally have no clue on how or even WHAT is it.

  15. He thought us that we must go step by step to become a entrepreneur like going through trainings. We must do stuff which is beyond our limits like him getting rid of birds and germs when he is supposed to get rid of pests only. We must not only stay in one location but make some branches all around the world. We must take risks and do stuff and if we make mistakes, we must learn from them and not stay there. We must combine stuff together to make a better item.

  16. i learnt that a simple idea can generate a lot of money
whatever you do, ypu must be dynamic. fo not stick to just one thing. always keep changing, for example, when the birds came at 9 instead of 8.

  17. I have learnt that the way we show ourselves to people is important as the way people see us will affect the chance of them approaching us and our products. I have also learnt that the media should be used frequently as it has a wide variety of information and lets us contact our friends for ideas easily. Another thing I have learnt is that we must try a variety of different products to achieve success.

  18. I have learnt that out there in the society thus there is lots of competition around thus you need to show your company difference or better points as compared to other companies. To do so, they would really have to think out of the box and to be an innovative-thinker and apply entrepreneurial skills usefully and appropriately to be able to out beat others.

  19. I have learnt that media is one of the important factor among the success factor of being an entrepreneurs and also being different niche for a business. Also, I learnt that opportunity can come very fast and go very fast, like when the SARS happened. he used the chance and made new product which was a hit!

  20. I have learnt that problems are a source of opportunity for doing and using those opportunities. Sometimes, although problems like killing of pests do not really matter to some people, they can become a hindrance if people leave the problem unattended. Mr Fernandez was able to notice this and use the opportunity to make a company for this particular purpose. While doing this, he had created a business opportunity not only for himself but for his workers as well.
