  1. I have learnt a lot about from that talk itself. I get more information about innovation and entrepreneurship and the steps on how to be a successful inventor.

  2. I learnt that there was always more than one way and not just stick to one track, but instead be flexible, as the example shown by him for the 9 dots problem. If we wasn't limited, we would have lots of ways to overcome that particular problem and go beyond. It was also pretty interesting and worthwhile as the information was pretty handful and useful at the same time.

  3. I think that Roderick Chia's talk was very interesting. I learnt to be innovative, we have to think out of the box.We have to smash assumptions and have the right mindset. To becone a good inovator, we have to have the correct morals, good morals, or we might end up as a criminal.

  6. I think that the talk by Mr Roderick Chia was a wonderful one. I gained interesting knowledge that I have never thought of from Mr Chia. I didn't know that thinking out of the box was so effective. I guess I am going to think out of the box more so that I will be able to succeed in life :D

  7. I learnt that innovation is important. Sometimes we have to sacrifice something to go for the better. We need to have the correct mindset or we will end up using our creativity for bad. The information he shared with us was really useful and informative

  8. The talk was inspirational as he told us how he managed to get to what he was today, all the challenges and difficulties. He also told us that all of us have the potential to become innovators when we grow up if we work hard enough.

  9. my learnings is that no matter how innovative our idea is,we must be able to implement them, and make sure they do not go against us.

  10. What I learn during his talk is that an innovative entrepreneur has good belief and make full use of his wittiness to create things and not be a Smart Criminal. It is the same as for a good salesman and a bad salesman who cheats money. I think this is very meaningful as both an entrepreneur and a criminal are both very smart.
All entrepreneurs think out the box but after all, there would still be a box of limits to restrain you from achieving what you want to do.

  11. I think Mr Roderick Chia's talk was very interesting and taught us a lot of things that limit us in creativity and innovation and how to break those limits and assumptions. I also learnt not to limit my creativity to the assumptions i make about the limit but try to break them or find out if those assumptions are actually true. I also learnt to be flexible and to think out of the box for more ideas. However, we need to make sure our morale values are good and that we do not intend to use our creativity for criminal activities.

  12. I think that Mr Chia's talk was very meaningful as it let me understand what innovation was all about. There is a lot of stuff mentioned in his talk that we can refer to our own life, such as to become a good innovator, a difference between your ordinary innovator, just to name a few.

  13. I think that Mr Roderick Chia was very inspiring. As he taught us good methods to become a good business man. Such as the box of assumptions and the box of constraints. He also thought us people that have good attributes of a business man can also be a criminal, the only thing separating the two is the morals of the person. This has thought me that if i become a business man in the future, i must not turn to the dark side, otherwise known as corruption.

  14. Mr Roderick Chia is a good speaker and through his talk, I have learnt about the process of innovation, like how to smash assumptions and make decisions. The example he gave for the part about making decisions was interesting. It was an example on 2 tracks with children playing on it and it made me thought what other choice I could take and what consequences it would have, thus making the best choice.

  15. From Rodrick Chia's talk, i learned that in order to be innovative, we have to think out of the box but smashing assumptions as that is what would have stopped us from being innovative. I also learned that there are always more than 1 way out in a problem and we should not always stick to a single solution from the dots problem.

  17. In the talk, I learnt that we can always smash assumptions to make our ' thinking out of the box 'box bigger. If it is bigger, we will have lesser constraints, so we can see more opportunities to make more innovative products.I also learnt that we are who we think we are.For example,if you think that you can't do it, you are right. If you think you are a bad person, you are right. We must also think out of the box frequently, but we should not think out of the box of constraints.

  18. I find that his talk was quite useful to me though it is a bit boring in the middle part of the presentation. Overall, I can say that the whole presentation was full of knowledge.

  19. I learnt how he became innovative. I also learnt that I have to smash assumptions to solve questions which looks impossible to do. There are two kinds of boxes so when we think out of the box, we are still in the box of limits. Innovative can be either criminals or inventors which depends what want. I think it is really a pleasure of him coming to our school to give us this talk as we can become as innovative as him one day.

  20. I think that what Mr Chia has said i true. A criminal is an entrepreneur. If you are an entrepreneur, and you are smart, You can still be a criminal as criminals are smart and the way they do things is just like an entrepreneur. I think that Mr Chia's talk is meaningful and it is a learning experience for us.
